National Dog Day here started in 2004 as a way to “bring attention to the plight of animals and encourage adoption.”
Its mission is to help the public “recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year and acknowledge family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort.”

A ScooperDude salute to everyone who cares about and cares for dogs.
